Tourmaline

Tourmaline is a gemstone of many colors, with varieties in every color in the spectrum, including colorless (achroite) and black (schorl). Iron-rich tourmalines are black to bluish-black to deep brown, while magnesium-rich varieties are brown to yellow, and lithium-rich tourmalines are almost any color: blue, green, red, yellow, pink etc. Tourmaline is a complex mineral, a hexagonal boron-aluminum-silicate. The tourmaline's Moh Hardness is 7-7.5.
